An Oklahoma jury recommended the 60-year sentence for 41-year-old Spegal, who was found guilty of child abuse, child neglect, and manufacturing DMT and psilocybin mushrooms near an elementary school.
The case began in July after police received a tip about violence against Spegal's teenage daughter, who testified about repeated abuse and drug use in the home.
Spegal, who represented herself at trial, claimed her actions were out of love, but multiple witnesses testified against her. Sentencing is scheduled for June 30.
