The man was detained on Sunday at an address near Barnstaple, Devon, as part of an ongoing investigation.
The arrest relates to a series of attacks on Jewish-linked premises in north west London, a Persian-language media organisation, and jars of non-hazardous substance found in Kensington Gardens.
