Three Sherpas from Imagine Nepal, one each from EliteExped and AltiPro, and Polish skier Bartek Ziemski nearly completed the route, turning back just short of Camp 1 due to a whiteout.
Authorities have exceptionally allowed helicopters to transport gear and rope-fixing teams to Camp 1, expediting preparations above Camp 2 and setting a potential precedent for future operations in the Khumbu Icefall.
