Artharva Vyas, a 24-year-old Indian national, was arrested after allegedly biting a 3-year-old girl’s face at Espada Park in San Antonio on April 18.
Vyas is charged with injury to a child, assault, and illegal entry, and is held at Bexar County Detention Center. The child lost two teeth and requires ongoing care, impacting her mother’s ability to work.
Vyas previously entered the U.S. on a student visa in August 2023 and was arrested for felony assault months later, but authorities did not revoke his visa or remove him at that time.
