Co-owner Lauren Brokish says the move from 811 W. Springfield Ave. is planned for September, with the new site offering safer parking and a larger dining room.
The new location will be adjacent to Martinelli’s, also owned by the Brokish family, allowing customers to easily visit both establishments through an interior door.
Pekara, a Champaign staple for over 20 years, originally opened at 116 N. Neil St. and will now operate seven days a week at its new downtown address.
