Assaidi, 22, was taken into custody and charged after allegedly participating in a drag-racing event involving over 100 cars near Eliot Avenue and 69th Street in Queens on April 18.
Authorities say Assaidi drove dangerously close to bystanders, performed stunts with another driver, and was involved in fiery displays, while others damaged an NYPD vehicle during the incident.
No injuries were reported, and Assaidi, who has no prior arrests, faces up to seven years in prison if convicted. He is ordered to return to court on May 14.
