Heitmann was taken into custody Monday by Collier County Sheriff's Office after a warrant was issued, following a disputed positive test for cannabinoids during her probation.
She claims two subsequent tests for illegal cannabinoids were negative and stated she voluntarily surrendered to authorities. Heitmann had previously pleaded no contest to DUI charges in February after an August 2024 arrest.
Her probation terms included abstaining from alcohol and submitting to random screenings. The city government and her attorney have been contacted for comment as the case continues to draw public attention.
