Martin Brown, 55, will succeed Carlos Lenz, who retires at year-end, as Chief Economist of the Swiss National Bank.
Brown currently leads the SNB’s Study Center Gerzensee and is an adjunct professor of financial economics at the University of St Gallen.
He previously served as a mid-level official at the SNB from 2004 to 2011, bringing extensive academic and institutional experience to the role.
