UltraTech Cement’s finance committee cleared a private placement of up to Rs 5,000 crore in non-convertible debentures, finalizing terms at a July 23 meeting.
The issue covers as many as 5,00,000 rupee-denominated debentures with a face value of Rs 1,00,000 each, to be sold in one or more tranches.
Those NCDs will be fully paid, unsecured, listed, rated, redeemable and non-cumulative, giving the company flexibility to tap debt markets as needed.
