Summary
More than 40,000 young people have secured employment through Lighthouse Communities Foundation since it began working with underserved communities in 2016, the group said.
24 Lighthouse centres in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad anchor the model, which starts with a six-week confidence-building programme before matching participants to training and jobs based on their career goals.
One lakh visitors have come through the centres, while broader initiatives including Lighthouse Kiran and the Global Opportunity Youth Network have reached nearly 2.8 lakh young people.
LCF, which became a standalone organisation in 2020 after starting under Pune City Connect, now operates in Delhi, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with municipal infrastructure and CSR-backed funding.
