Hemisphere Seeks Buyer at 38.5 Million Euros as Captain Markets 15-Year Home

38.5 million euros is the asking price for Hemisphere, a five-cabin luxury catamaran whose owner, 83-year-old American Anthony Marlon, has put it up for sale.
Capt. Gavin Bladen, 54, has lived aboard for 15 years and personally showed the yacht to Monaco broker Simon Ting during a June viewing off the French Riviera.
Hemisphere is among the world's largest sailing yachts, with details such as ostrich-leather wall coverings, African walnut flooring and air-conditioned outdoor dining meant to justify the price.
The sales pitch faces a tougher market for older superyachts: Ting said newer rivals offer below-waterline windows and bigger amenity packages, from helicopters to infinity pools.
