Samsung is clearly using it as a headline 2026 Galaxy extra, alongside other bundled trials such as SiriusXM, Lightroom and Goodnotes. But the catch is not minor. To redeem it, users must be new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers, install the app through Samsung’s channel, and provide payment details. The plan then auto-renews at $12.99 a month, or $11.99 for Prime members, unless canceled before the trial ends. That makes it a standard continuity subscription offer, not a no-strings free gift. The criticism is sharper because Samsung is also preinstalling Amazon Music on millions of “select” Galaxy phones and tablets. Samsung has not clearly disclosed all affected models or whether the app can always be fully removed rather than merely disabled. On premium devices, that strengthens the argument that this is partly about customer capture, not just customer benefit. For consumers, the test is simple. If you want to try the service, the promotion is a real perk as long as you cancel in time. If you dislike preloaded apps, recurring billing, or handing over card details for a trial, it looks much more like a frictionless upsell dressed up as a freebie.

Three months of Amazon Music Unlimited is again free for new subscribers using select Galaxy phones and tablets, after Samsung confirmed the offer in a new press release.
Amazon Music is now preinstalled across several devices, and the promotion is already appearing on pages for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Tab S11.
Galaxy users can claim it through the Galaxy Store by downloading Amazon Music and entering payment details; the subscription auto-renews after the free period unless canceled.
Samsung is also bundling other software trials, including 6 months of SiriusXM and 1 year of Goodnotes, though eligibility often depends on being a new subscriber.
The revived music deal follows a brief, unexplained appearance after the Galaxy S26 launch and now looks set to be Samsung’s main 2026 Galaxy freebie.
