Tuesday morning, Lower Columbia College said longtime history instructor Dr. Courtney Shah died peacefully at her home.
Shah joined LCC in 2007 and spent nearly two decades teaching U.S. and World History while also serving as a published author and coordinator of the college's Community Conversations program.
Seven straight Jeopardy! wins in 2021 made Shah widely known beyond campus and sent her to the Tournament of Champions.
An Aug. 10 memorial service is scheduled from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Rose Center for the Arts on the LCC campus.
