SpaceX Nationalization Odds Fall to 4% by 2027 From 11% in 2025

Betting markets now put the chance of SpaceX being nationalized by early 2027 at about 4%, down from roughly 11% in August 2025.
That decline comes even as U.S. policymakers show more interest in taking stakes in strategic industries and in AI companies specifically.
Bernie Sanders last month proposed an American AI sovereign wealth fund financed with a one-time 50% stock tax on major AI firms, naming xAI among potential targets.
The report notes trading volumes in these prediction markets are limited and they cover only nationalization by January 2027, leaving open the possibility of government stakes later.
