Hope Network’s Cadillac day program supports about 100 to 110 adults with disabilities and other employment barriers, using Disability Pride Month to highlight a mission that extends beyond job placement to confidence, life skills and inclusion.
Local partnerships drive that work: participants earn paid vocational experience building shipping boxes for Ebels, assembling components for FIAM and doing janitorial work at Pine Grove Athletic Club.
Three days a week at Pine Grove, participants work alongside a job coach cleaning locker rooms, equipment and restrooms, then increasingly report issues and request supplies directly as their independence grows.
Staff say the program also fills social and family gaps for people with limited transportation or support, while community roles such as watering downtown flower baskets and Pay It Forward volunteering reinforce belonging.
The long-term goal is community employment without ongoing support, and Hope Network says it wants more placements where participants work side by side with people without disabilities.
