Met Police Boat Hits Westminster Bridge, Injuring 5 Officers

Five Metropolitan Police officers were injured after a Marine Policing Unit boat struck Westminster Bridge at about 15:40 BST in central London.
A number of officers fell into the River Thames but were recovered, and police said they were receiving treatment while the extent of their injuries was still being assessed.
Westminster Bridge was cordoned off and traffic stopped as police, fire crews, ambulances, a police helicopter and an air ambulance responded at the scene.
Transport for London said some entrances to Westminster Underground station were closed, while the Port of London Authority said it was assisting the Met, HM Coastguard and other agencies.
Police said no members of the public are believed to have been involved or hurt, and the circumstances of the collision will be thoroughly reviewed.
