Apple is testing a hidden Mail compose bar in macOS 27 beta 4 that puts “Write with Siri” at the center and collapses classic formatting controls.
The redesign also surfaces contextual Smart Reply suggestions that users can preview on hover before inserting—an upgrade from the older inline presentation.
Once a Siri-generated draft is selected, the bar shifts to AI editing tools including “Edit with Siri,” “Proofread,” “Rewrite,” and “How does this sound?”
