Anthropic Launches 1-Minute Claude Connector for AI Economic Index Data

Anthropic added an Economic Index connector to Claude, letting users query data on how AI is used across occupations, tasks and locations directly inside chats.
About 1 minute is enough to enable the tool in claude.ai, where it works with any Claude model and requires no installation.
The connector is designed to answer questions such as which jobs use AI most, how teachers use Claude, or how automation patterns have changed over the past year.
Anthropic said answers are grounded in the Index dataset and can link back to underlying source data, while noting the Index reflects Claude usage patterns rather than the full labor market.
The launch broadens access to a dataset already used by researchers, journalists and policymakers, with the full data still freely available on Anthropic's website.
