3,971 kilograms of suspected cocaine were recovered from a Duazon property on July 21, in what Liberia called its largest narcotics seizure ever, with the haul valued at $317.68 million.
Intelligence from interrogations of people first detained on July 20 led investigators to the site, where officers executing a warrant found nearly four metric tons of packed drugs and arrested two foreign nationals.
Diving suits, tactical firearms, GPS units, a surveillance drone and Starlink terminals were also seized, reinforcing authorities' view that the network used sophisticated maritime and technological logistics.
Preliminary evidence suggests the cartel may have operated in Liberia for more than six years, intensifying scrutiny after a separate $19.2 million airport-linked cocaine seizure in June.
Liberia has begun asset-forfeiture proceedings against the Duazon property, vehicles and another residence tied to the June case, while working with international partners to trace routes, ownership and accomplices.
