Summary
€80 million in co-funded procurement has been signed by EuroHPC JU with E4 Computer Engineering for MeluXina-AI, moving Luxembourg’s AI Factory into its next phase.
MeluXina-AI is designed to deliver more than 20 exaflops of AI peak performance on 252 nodes with 1,008 NVIDIA Blackwell-based GPUs, aimed at training, testing and pre-production deployment of advanced AI models.
Luxembourg will install the system across Bissen and Bettembourg, with fall 2026 installation planned; Dell Technologies will participate as subcontractor and the platform will support secure multi-tenant GPU-as-a-Service operations.
The project builds on Luxembourg’s AI Factory, selected in December 2024 and operating since April 2025 on the existing MeluXina system, serving startups, SMEs and researchers in sectors including finance, space and cybersecurity.
EuroHPC will cover 50% of the cost through the Digital Europe Programme as part of a wider European rollout that now spans 19 AI Factories and 13 AI Factory Antennas.
