The deal cuts RLL from a three-car team to two cars and puts DRR back on the IndyCar grid full-time with a single entry after its last full season in 2012.
No driver or car assignment was announced, but RLL’s current lineup includes Graham Rahal, Louis Foster and Mick Schumacher; reports say Rahal and Foster are under contract for next season while Schumacher is not.
DRR has remained active at the Indianapolis 500 — fielding Conor Daly and Jack Harvey this year — and the agreement comes weeks after founder Dennis Reinbold died on June 13.
The sale adds to an already volatile 2027 silly season, with seats still in flux across the series despite strong recent results from several drivers.
