Foxconn Boosts Hiring for iPhone 18 Pro as Apple Starts September Mass Production

Foxconn has entered peak recruitment for the iPhone 18 Pro after Apple’s premium models moved into mass production ahead of a fall launch.
Higher hourly wages, base pay and rehire bonuses are being used to staff large-scale assembly and inventory buildup for the September debut.
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to shrink the Dynamic Island opening to 13.49mm from 20.76mm—about a 35% area cut—lifting screen-to-body ratio to roughly 94.7%.
Apple is also expected to add an A20 Pro chip and a variable-aperture main camera, while shifting to a staggered release with Pro models first and the standard iPhone 18 next year.
Chinese brokerages were broadly bullish, saying strong iPhone 17 sales, wider Apple Intelligence rollout and upcoming devices including a foldable iPhone could extend Apple’s high-end momentum into 2027.
