P&G told Egypt’s investment minister it plans to expand local manufacturing, use more Egypt-made components and push exports deeper into Gulf and African markets.
Egypt is one of P&G’s most important regional production bases, the company said, citing location, skilled labor, infrastructure and free-trade agreements as key advantages.
P&G also credited the Export Development Fund with boosting the competitiveness of Egyptian-made goods abroad and supporting its export growth in recent years.
Minister Mohamed Farid said Cairo is working with existing investors to remove obstacles and wants additional P&G investment to deepen local industry, create jobs and raise export value.
Both sides agreed to keep coordinating on the expansion plans, underscoring Egypt’s broader push to turn foreign manufacturers already in the country into larger export hubs.
