Highway 6 reopened in both directions late Monday between mile markers 100 and 103 in the Silt-New Castle area, Garfield County emergency officials said.
Flooding still kept Interstate 70 closed in both directions between mile markers 97 and 105, with no estimated reopening time immediately available.
Standing water and mud were also reported on Highway 6 earlier, prompting officials to warn drivers not to enter flooded roadway sections.
The partial reopening restores one route through the area, but the wider corridor remains disrupted as high water continues to affect western Colorado travel.
