Jamie Metzl Warns Democrats of DSA Takeover After 3 Upset Wins

Jamie Metzl, a former Clinton NSC staffer, said Tuesday the Democratic Socialists of America could “destroy” the Democratic Party unless leaders confront it now.
Speaking on Fox & Friends, Metzl urged House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to reject what he called the DSA’s extremist agenda, including abolishing police, prisons and private ownership.
Metzl said Democrats are in a power struggle between moderates and DSA-aligned factions, arguing Jeffries has tried to balance criticism of the group with support for some of its positions.
His warning follows recent socialist-backed election wins in New York and Colorado, including Melat Kiros’s upset over Rep. Diana DeGette and two late-June New York victories over sitting House members.
