CHP Detains Range Rover Driver After 100-Mph Los Angeles County Chase

A man was taken into custody Tuesday morning in Montebello after a California Highway Patrol pursuit of a black Range Rover that stretched across Los Angeles County.
The chase began about 7:15 a.m. when Santa Monica police investigators tried to arrest the driver over an alleged road-rage incident from a couple of weeks earlier.
The SUV sped through Koreatown and into the San Gabriel Valley, at times crossing into opposing lanes and topping 100 mph, according to live television footage and police accounts.
The pursuit ended shortly before 8 a.m. when the Range Rover entered a center median and a trailing patrol vehicle rammed it; authorities had not identified the suspect or detailed the underlying case.
