SUU Confirms 25-Year-Old Tyler Feehan Killed in Jordan, to Award MBA Posthumously

Summary
Southern Utah University said 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, was killed in action in Jordan while serving on a U.S. mission against Islamic State and was weeks from finishing his MBA.
SUU said the Hawaii native was a 2024 ROTC commissionee, served with the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Bragg, and had also been in the Utah Army National Guard.
Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, was also killed in the attack; the U.S. military has put total American deaths in the war with Iran at 17 and said it launched new airstrikes Saturday to punish Iran.
SUU plans to award Feehan his degree posthumously, honor him at Thursday's Pioneer Legacy Celebration, and mark the campus carillon with yellow ribbons and hourly renditions of 'The Army Song.'
Utah leaders including Gov. Spencer Cox and Sens. Mike Lee and John Curtis paid tribute, while Curtis said the strike should push Congress to vote on authorizing military operations against Iran.
