EuroHPC has opened a tender for Europe’s first industrial supercomputer, marking a new procurement step for a system aimed at business and applied research use.
The machine is designed with a flexible architecture that combines dedicated CPU and GPU resources rather than a single-purpose setup.
Those resources are being optimized for AI training and inference, visualization, large-scale simulation and other emerging industrial services.
The project extends EuroHPC’s role beyond traditional public supercomputing infrastructure toward industrial computing capacity tailored to Europe’s AI and simulation needs.
