EU Expects to Meet $1.35 Trillion Trump Deal Target by 2029

Summary
$1.35 trillion in commitments agreed with Donald Trump last year are expected to be met by the EU by the end of his term in January 2029, a senior European Commission official said.
$750 billion of that total would come from energy purchases, while another $600 billion would be directed into strategic U.S. sectors under the trade deal.
The European Commission, which handles the bloc's trade policy, said it is confident the EU can deliver on the targets set in the agreement.
The projection signals the EU still sees the transatlantic trade pact as achievable and is framing its spending plans around Trump-era commitments.
