China’s industrial value-added rose 5.3% year on year in June, up 0.8 percentage point from May, while month-on-month growth reached 0.76%.
Manufacturing drove the gain with 6.0% growth, outpacing a 2.2% drop in mining and a 7.4% rise in utilities; first-half industrial output increased 5.4%.
29 of 41 major sectors expanded, led by railway, ship and aerospace equipment at 18.2%, electronics at 15.7%, and auto manufacturing at 8.7%.
Product data showed uneven demand: NEV output jumped 29.4% to 1.624 million units, while crude oil processing fell 17.7% and cement output dropped 5.6%.
Export-linked activity stayed firm, with industrial export delivery value reaching 1.56 trillion yuan and the product sales rate improving 0.8 point to 95.5%.
