Summary
Around 50 hearing-, speech- and physically-impaired people from Keonjhar's Seva Foundation met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who assured them of jobs, rehabilitation support and access to welfare schemes.
Majhi said trained girls now learning sewing and handicrafts would be linked to upcoming textiles and weaving industries in Odisha to secure employment.
The package also includes housing, LPG connections, toilets, education and healthcare for differently-abled children, alongside advanced hearing aids and artificial limbs funded through government schemes and CSR support.
Calling social and economic security for persons with disabilities a government priority, Majhi urged the girls to keep upgrading skills for self-reliance and better job prospects.
State authorities, acting on his directions, also arranged the group's visit to Puri on Sunday for darshan of Lord Jagannath.
