Ben Wilson Redirects $400,000 Fundraising Momentum to Huntsman Cancer Institute

$400,000 raised in days for podcaster Ben Wilson is now prompting him to urge would-be supporters to donate to Huntsman Cancer Institute instead, saying others lack his platform and resources.
Stage 4 high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma was diagnosed after scans found tumors in his brain, bones, lungs and liver; Wilson said doctors initially told him he had about a year to live.
The donations are helping cover Tarlatamab—an expensive drug not covered by insurance that he said could extend survival by one to two years—after he completes four rounds of chemotherapy.
Wilson said the outpouring from podcast listeners, local supporters and even drug companies has expanded his treatment options, while he plans to keep producing episodes of 'How to Take Over the World' as he can.
