Dollar Tree said it will close about 75 stores and open roughly 400 new locations in 2026 under a broader overhaul of its more than 9,400-store chain.
42% of stores were below the company’s standards earlier this year, CEO Michael Creedon said, but that share has now fallen to less than one-third as renovations and operational fixes continue.
The retailer has not released a full closure list or timing for the remaining shutdowns, though retail tracking data shows some locations have already closed.
The plan aims to deliver a more consistent shopping experience while shifting investment toward stores the company sees as having the strongest long-term potential.
