Summary
Around 80% of ultrawealthy clients now ask private chefs to prioritize healthy eating, with a growing share focused on longevity through macro tracking, calorie counts and Mediterranean-diet plans.
Chris Demaillet, founder of chef-placement agency Montclair Chef, said that shift has made nutrition knowledge more valuable than prestige skills like sushi training, and chefs increasingly work alongside nutritionists and personal trainers.
Five upgrades now commonly requested are extra-virgin olive oil, wild line-caught fish, grass-fed or free-range meat, seasonal organic produce and less plastic use to limit potential BPA exposure.
Demaillet said the change extends beyond traditional wellness-focused markets and reflects a broader move by billionaire households to treat food sourcing and preparation as part of long-term health management.
