Summary
S$6.6 billion in tourism receipts flowed into Singapore in Q1 2026, while international visitor arrivals rose 2.9% year on year to 4.4 million.
STB said stronger visitor spending drove the gain, aligning with its push for higher-quality tourism even as overall arrivals grew only modestly from 4.3 million a year earlier.
Mainland China remained the biggest spending market at S$1.3 billion, up 3.4%, and sent 913,407 visitors—up 9.9%; Indonesia ranked second with S$719.7 million despite a 0.5% decline.
Australia, the United States and India rounded out the top five spending markets, after Singapore logged a record S$32.8 billion in tourism receipts last year.
STB still expects macroeconomic uncertainty and capacity constraints to weigh on travel demand in the second half, though it said Singapore remains an attractive destination.
