Tiffany Stratton became the first entrant in WWE’s SummerSlam Interim Women’s Championship ladder match by pinning Jacy Jayne on SmackDown.
Stratton had to overcome a pre-match ambush after Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid attacked her before the bell, with Brie Bella and Paige running in to neutralize the interference.
Once the match started, Stratton regained control after a back-and-forth exchange, finishing Jayne with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
The qualifier advanced WWE’s push to crown a new interim champion at SummerSlam, while SmackDown also featured Finn Balor beating Talla Tonga and a new Cody Rhodes-Gunther main event being set.
