More than 3,400 homes and businesses in rural Morgan County gained access to Spectrum’s fiber broadband network, including areas near Malta, McConnelsville, Pennsville and Stockport that previously lacked reliable service.
The expansion is part of Spectrum’s multi-year rural construction push and a local RDOF-backed buildout aimed at closing broadband gaps in underserved communities.
Spectrum said the new footprint brings internet, mobile, TV and voice service, with internet plans offering starting speeds of 500 Mbps and up to 1 gigabit per second without data caps, contracts or modem fees.
$7 billion in private investment underpins the broader initiative, which Spectrum says will add more than 100,000 miles of fiber and reach over 1.7 million new locations nationwide.
