Summary
£10,000 in compensation will be paid to Sasha-Jay Davies after Elha Mai Weston admitted a four-year campaign of using Davies' images to run fake dating and social media profiles.
The High Court heard Weston posed as Davies between 2022 and 2026 under names including "Sophie" and "Sophie Kadare," using stolen photos and AI-generated images to deceive thousands and pursue real-life romantic relationships.
Davies said the impersonation left her afraid to leave home, with about 20 men and several women contacting or confronting her, including one man who believed he had been in a genuine relationship with her for months.
Under a binding Tomlin Order, Weston apologized, accepted her conduct was wrongful and agreed not to repeat it; breaching the deal could leave her in contempt of court.
