No league discipline will be imposed on Bam Adebayo after he struck former Miami teammate Tyler Herro at a Las Vegas gym last Friday, the NBA said after speaking with both players and the NBPA.
Herro had already told ESPN he wanted to move on, and the league said everyone involved preferred to treat the incident as closed.
The confrontation began after Adebayo challenged Herro over social media criticism tied to his $60 million salary and comments about needing more help in Miami after Herro's trade to Milwaukee in the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal.
Sources said Adebayo hit Herro near the chin; Herro was not knocked down and was restrained from responding physically.
The clash followed the end of a 7-year Heat partnership that had reportedly cooled over the past year as Herro played just 33 games in 2025-26.
