28,755 Switch 2 units led Japan’s hardware chart for July 6-12, down from 32,797 a week earlier but still far ahead of the PS5 Digital Edition at 10,657.
126,073 copies put Rhythm Heaven Groove at No. 1 in software, lifting its cumulative sales to 519,451 and keeping Nintendo Switch titles dominant across the top 10.
Five games debuted in the chart, led by Magical Girl Witch Trial at 21,283, while PS5 newcomers Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Echoes of Aincrad opened at 17,152 and 16,092.
Switch 2 also posted two notable launches: Digimon Story: Time Stranger sold 15,644, while Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok opened at 12,544; the Switch version of Digimon added 11,251.
The broader hardware market remained concentrated in Nintendo and Sony systems, with legacy Switch models combining for 8,712 units and Xbox Series consoles totaling just 157.
