Vance Says Epstein Had US, Israeli Intelligence Ties as He Faults Files Rollout

JD Vance said on Joe Rogan’s podcast that Jeffrey Epstein had links to the highest levels of both U.S. and Israeli intelligence, adding that Epstein’s Israeli contacts appeared tied to left-of-center “deep state” elements.
The vice president made the remarks while discussing the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files, saying officials “absolutely screwed up the comms” but were not trying to hide anything.
Pam Bondi’s earlier comments about an Epstein client list and hours of video, followed by “Phase 1” declassified binders given to conservative influencers, helped fuel mistrust in the release effort, Vance said.
Epstein died in prison in 2019 after being convicted of sex trafficking minors, and Vance’s comments add a new intelligence-linked dimension to a controversy already centered on how the files were presented.
