Hoymiles Launches 1,200-Watt U.S. Plug-in Solar Inverter, First to Meet UL 3700

Hoymiles has introduced HiFlow Pro for U.S. homes, saying it is the first plug-in microinverter in the market certified to the new UL 3700 safety standard for consumer-installable solar.
UL 3700 creates a dedicated North American framework for plug-in photovoltaic systems, covering grid safety, rapid shutdown and backfeed protection rather than traditional rooftop PV rules.
The device can run up to four units in parallel for 1,200 watts of total output, while setup takes under 60 seconds through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi links to a mobile app.
Hoymiles said HiFlow Pro delivers 99.8% static and 99.5% dynamic MPPT efficiency, operates from minus 40C to 65C, and has undergone 250,000 hours of reliability testing.
The launch targets renters and residents of apartments or space-constrained homes, aiming to bring a lower-cost European-style balcony solar model into the U.S. market.
