Summary
Uttar Pradesh has moved the SVPEIZ project into implementation, with construction set to begin immediately at sites where land is already available.
The first phase covers 16 centres—five each under MSME and UPSIDA, two each under UPEIDA and YEIDA, and one each under Greater Noida and Gorakhpur authorities.
Those centres will anchor a nine-region hub-and-spoke network designed to combine skill training, industrial plots, plug-and-play sheds, employment facilitation and entrepreneurship support in one ecosystem.
The state says the model is meant to meet rising demand for skilled labour as investment and industrial activity expand, while linking youth directly to jobs and self-employment.
Each hub will have a special purpose vehicle led by its top investor, and the framework draws on industrial and skill-development models studied in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
