Summary
Feb. 18, 2028 is the new Imax release date for The Batman Part II, pushing the sequel from Oct. 1, 2027 and marking another delay after an earlier move from 2025.
Warner Bros said the shift gives Matt Reeves more post-production time and lands the film on a domestic four-day weekend; production had already started five months late after the 2023 strikes.
The new slot puts the sequel near the same release corridor as 2022's The Batman, which opened to $134 million domestically and finished with $770.3 million worldwide.
Warner Bros also reshuffled its slate: J.J. Abrams' The Great Beyond takes the vacated Oct. 1, 2027 date, while Panic Carefully moves to April 9, 2027 and Revenge of La Llorona to Feb. 26, 2027.
