100 engineers from acquired startup Fractional AI now form Ode’s core, working with Anthropic’s applied AI team to tailor implementations around business processes rather than just model choice.
Blackstone and other private-equity backers plan to steer portfolio companies to Ode, while the firm also sells beyond that base under a “Claude-first” approach that can still use rival tools.
OpenAI’s The Deployment Company and consulting groups such as Deloitte and Accenture are chasing the same market, highlighting a broader shift from model competition toward scarce AI implementation talent.
