A new report says Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8 will support continuous use across its internal and external displays, letting the cover screen work more like a full smartphone screen.
That would mark a major shift from current Z Flip models, whose outer displays are largely limited to a small set of widgets and apps unless users rely on Good Lock’s MultiStar workaround.
The report describes the two screens being used “in the same way, not via widgets,” suggesting seamless app continuity similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold line.
If Samsung delivers that experience, the upgrade could make the Flip 8 notably more practical and help broaden its appeal to foldable buyers.
