August 6 marks the start of Gears of War: E-Day’s Early Access open beta for pre-order buyers and PC Game Pass subscribers, with exact timing and availability still to be announced.
The PC beta will ship with DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex, while the full game adds DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation on GeForce RTX systems.
October 6 is the launch date for the full release, an origin-story entry set 14 years before the original Gears of War and centered on Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago.
Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12 underpin the game’s technical push, including Lumen, MegaLights, Nanite detail up to 100x Gears 5, real-time destruction and larger-scale effects.
