Summary
Mark Armstrong, formerly HPE’s EMEA head of high-performance computing and AI, will lead Pasqal’s commercial strategy, sales execution and customer expansion across EMEA and APAC.
Seven Pasqal quantum systems are already in production across four countries, and the company said the hire is meant to speed enterprise and government deployment of its neutral-atom platform.
Armstrong brings more than 30 years of technology sales experience, including nearly three decades at HPE, where he helped shape AI go-to-market strategy and led major customer engagements.
Pasqal sells into energy, finance, advanced materials and HPC markets, offers access on-premises and through Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OVHcloud and Scaleway, and says it now serves 25-plus clients and partners.
The appointment comes as the French quantum company, founded in 2019 and backed by more than $300 million, pursues a Nasdaq listing through Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp. II.
