Summary
Three people were killed overnight in Odesa after a Russian missile hit a multi-storey residential building, regional governor Oleh Kiper said.
Russia's defence ministry said it had deliberately targeted port infrastructure used to unload petroleum products, while Kiper said the barrage also hit a non-residential building and a gas pipeline.
The attack was the fifth straight day of strikes on the Odesa region, where deepwater Black Sea ports handle much of Ukraine's grain and other cargo.
Ukraine said separately that its drones struck 20 Russian vessels in the Black Sea, after earlier attacks in the Sea of Azov helped force Russia to restrict a route carrying about a quarter of its grain exports.
The latest strikes coincided with Ursula von der Leyen's 11th visit to Kyiv, where she was due to discuss faster joint EU-Ukraine defence production.
