Newegg Keeps RTX 5070 Gaming PC at $1,400 as Memory Shortage Lifts Rivals

$1,400 still buys a prebuilt RTX 5070 gaming PC at Newegg, a price the report says has held even as broader gaming-PC prices climbed after Prime Day.
The Thermaltake-based system pairs the GPU with an Intel Core i5-14400F, 16GB DDR5-6000 and a 1TB SSD, making its main compromise a single 16GB RAM stick during a memory crunch.
That trade-off still leaves enough performance for most new games at 1440p, with frame generation and upscaling helping push frame rates toward high-refresh play outside the most demanding titles.
Cheaper and pricier alternatives shift the balance: a roughly $1,000 RTX 5060 build offers 32GB DDR4, while an RTX 5060 Ti system adds 32GB DDR5 and a stronger Core i7 but gives up gaming performance versus the 5070.
